✨ Welcome to the New Year: 2025 the year of Selfish Selflessness
We’re almost three weeks into the year already. Some of you are still on holidays whilst others have worked right through Dec-Jan. As for us, we’ve just returned to work today following almost 3 weeks away celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary! How time flies!
As we step into 2025, let’s celebrate the opportunity for renewal—a time to reflect, reset, realign, and recommit to what truly matters.
This New Year, I invite you to embrace the philosophy of being selfish to be selfless.
In the hustle of daily life, it’s easy to overlook the core foundation of wellness—your own health, and perception of self.
But here’s the truth: you can only give your best to others when you are your best self. To achieve this, start with intentional goal-setting that prioritizes your wellness above all else. Remember, your physical and mental health are the cornerstones of everything else you want to accomplish.
Take an hour each day for a week—just one week—to reflect deeply.
Think about all areas of your life: physical health, mental clarity, relationships, career, friends, and personal passions. Write down goals that resonate with your deepest values. Make them realistic, but more importantly, make them yours. Let go of societal expectations or comparisons; this is your journey.
Your wellness goal should take centre stage.
Whether it’s committing to daily movement, prioritizing sleep, exploring mindfulness, or eating nourishing foods, ensure it aligns with your long-term vitality goal. The magic lies in consistency, not perfection.
Secondary goals—like career achievements or financial milestones—are important too, but only when your wellness allows you to pursue them with energy and intention.
By leading yourself first with compassion and care, you’ll find yourself naturally equipped to lead others and contribute meaningfully to the world.
